Santa Photos

I have been looking forward to getting Santa photos with my girl for a few months now.

As soon as my friend saw that he was going to be at one of the Christmas markets in town she messaged me about it and we came up with a plan! Now, Santa is busy and you unfortunately can’t book an appointment with him for photos, so when we made our plan we decided we’re going to go there first thing, like before they even open the doors, hoping to beat the rush. You might be thinking it's early to get Santa photos, but they do them early so that you can use them on your Christmas cards if you want.

Planning her outfit for her first Santa photos also took some time. We aren’t super fancy people, so I didn’t want to dress her up in a really fancy dress. We opted for some jeans, a pink onesie, and a cardigan that my mom had knit for her. My sister said that she looked like an adult with her jeans and cardigan 😂.

It ended up that my friend and her girl weren’t able to make it, but my husband, daughter, and I still went. Our plan to go early before they even open definitely paid off! We were the third people in line, so we only had to wait about 5 minutes to get our photos.

Our girl was so good for Santa! He held her and there were no tears or upset. We got one photo as a family, and then one with just her. It was a little weird two adults sitting on Santa, too (ha-ha), especially since my husband knows Santa.

I am so happy that we got a family photo with Santa for our girl’s first Christmas. I think I was definitely more excited than my 5 and a half month old. Looking forward to getting the photos back!

Do you get Santa photos with your little(s)? How did they do?
