In case no one has told you lately, I want to tell you that you are a great mother. This is an open letter to all the moms out there who feel like they’re not doing enough, that they’re not good enough, that they need to do more. I’m here to tell you that you are doing an amazing job.
Whether you are breast-feeding, bottle-feeding, formula-feeding, or a combination, you are a great mother.
Whether you take the monthly milestone photos of your baby on time, whether you miss it by a couple days and pretend like you took them on the right day, or you don’t take them at all, you’re a great mother.
Whether you do a bunch of outings with your little one or hang around at home most of the time, you’re a great mother.
Whether you home-cook a meal every night or order in to make things easier for you, you are a great mother.
Whether your baby has brand-new clothes or all of their clothes are hand-me-downs, you’re a great mother.
Whether your kitchen is clean and your laundry is done, or not, you are a great mother.
Whether you stay in your pajamas all day or do your makeup and get dressed, you’re a great mother.
Whether you read a book to your child every day, or not, you’re a great mother.
Whether your child sleeps through the night or wakes up throughout the night, you are a great mother.
Whether you paid someone to do cute family photos, took some yourself, or got none at all, you’re a great mother.
So what makes a great mother? In my opinion, what makes a great mother is one that tries their best and follows their gut with what is right for them and their family! Which I know you are doing, so please remember, you are a great mother!
